Materials & Certification
What every rug in this range is made of, read off the listings, and a plain statement of what the brand does and does not certify.
The construction, layer by layer
| Layer | Material | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Pile | 100% polyester, printed | Carries the pattern in the fibre. Stain-resistant by nature rather than by coating, so washing does not strip it |
| Backing | Skid-resistant latex, bonded | Grips hard floors directly; no separate pad. The layer that sets the care rules: cold wash, no dryer |
| Edge | Bound hem | Keeps the cut edge from fraying through repeated wash cycles |
Pile height, and why low
The range keeps its pile at a low profile deliberately. Three things follow: interior doors clear it without rehanging, chairs roll and slide over it, and a vacuum takes it in one pass. A plush rug does none of those, and it belongs where none of them matter, which is under a bed, not at a doorway. Height in this range is a working decision, not a cost cut.
Fibre honesty
Polyester is not wool and this range does not pretend otherwise. What polyester does better in this construction: it takes print sharply, resists moisture-based stains, dries fast after a wash and costs a fraction of wool. What it gives up: the springy underfoot depth of a high wool pile. For washable low-profile rugs the trade runs in polyester's favour, and it is the honest reason the whole category uses it.
Certification, plainly
Here is exactly where the claims stand:
- Made in USA is stated on the listings across this range, and the maker is a Scottsboro, Alabama mill running since 1928. See the Made in USA page.
- Machine washability, stain resistance and non-slip backing are the maker's own listed claims, and they are the ones we repeat.
- Third-party certificates such as textile safety marks are not published on these listings. We do not invent them, and if the brand publishes one later, this page will carry it.
How the layers are put together is on the home page's production block, and the washing conditions the backing demands are in the care guide.
